I know this is a bit off topic but it borders on the same concept. I'd love to see more types of equipment for electronic warfare. Like jammers to, like this idea entails, remove you from the contact list. More powerful scanners especially built to see through a jammer (but weaker in some other aspects) and so on.

Of course I have no idea what aspects can actually be modded in the game, but maybe even something to scramble communications, making that Cap that gets caught all alone somewhere unable to call for backup if it decides to fly without protection.

Electronic warfare and electronic countermeasures would bring a lot to the table when it comes to tactics in big fights as well as small engagements.

The OP idea is a great start, got my vote.
