Outcasts are mercenary for Nomads/Wild? I did not know that. Is it new thing?

As I partly explained, I believe Nomads are behind Cardamine Grass. Outcasts have an extended lifespan etc due to Cardamine and I think it's because the cardamine is slowly converting them into Nomads (Don't quote me on that, as I said best ask someone else who knows more about it than me). What I do know for sure is that Nomads are intricately linked to Outcast way of life. I think they worship Nomads to. So yes they will fight to defend them.

Cardamine on Malta was bioengineered by the Dam K'vosh for the Nomads to discover once they were thawed out of hibernation, millenia later. It was another gift, designed to shape the evolution of the developing specie. Of course, while the Nomads were asleep, the Outcasts crashed the Hispania in Alpha and settled down.

Cardamine warps DNA (among other things - it's implied that heavy/native users gain an almost peripheral access to the mindshare while dreaming or in trances), giving Nomads a reason to treat them differently to normal humans. Lore also says a very small minority form a cult that worship them as angels, although this isn't probably a widespread belief.

Outcasts are one of the few factions it makes sense for Nomads to ally with.
