No, there is a Jedi Force Meld, and there is a Vulcan Mind Meld. There is no Jedi Mind Meld. While they may appear to be the same - they do have different names, and thus all right thinking and intelligent fans of science fiction everywhere should be outraged. (Obviously that does leave out Star Wars fans, since we all know that Star Trek rules!)
