Please read the section "Can i participate to the event, and how?" to get an idea about the sides and the id/iff combos allowed for each one.
Lastly, one side (loyalists) is supposed to be advantaged. Yet, things should be ideally decently balanced. We won't accept 36 battle-cruisers or 50 gunboats on one side.
Admiral Nagata assassination attempt
Event time
Scheduled to Saturday 16 of March, 8pm. (GMT, that is)
Given how messy the server is at the moment, the event will be postponed to next week end : Saturday 23 of March, 8pm GMT.
Background
Sakamoto Ryoma lately discovered the current head of the Naval Forces, Nagata Yuri, is infected by an Incubi.
Unable to convince the Minister of Defense - and consequently Kusari Republic government - about the head of the Naval Forces true nature because of Nagata's undermining, Sakamoto decides to employ his division, currently based in Kyushu system, to assassinate Nagata and purge the Naval Forces from this infiltration.
However, this move won't be unnoticed. Nagata is already seeing this Rear-Admiral as a potential threat.
He made sure to divide the Admirals circle, using their fears or their hopes to ensure their loyalty.
His infiltration was successful, and in order to keep acting for the collective, he ensured key positions would be occupied by men who wouldn't question his orders.
The strike about to be sent from Kyushu system will bring division in Kusari Naval Forces, making brothers fight brothers.
Event proceedings
In order to avoid being spotted while they are heading to New Tokyo system, Sakamoto's forces will be using Seiran Dust cloud to move towards their target.
As they will be entering in Hokkaido system, the strike force may meet Blood Dragons or Golden Chrysanthemums while they to the jump gate to reach New Tokyo system.
Then using Chiba field as a shield against long range scanners, Sakamoto's forces will then reach their target, the fleet protecting Admiral Nagata flagship.
Outnumbered, they will be forced to reach to retreat to Shikoku system, where a carrier sent from Kyushu system will be waiting for them.

Can i participate to the event, and how?
The event is opened to Official factions and indies.
Please check the list below : Only the id/iff combos listed in this list will be able to attend to the event.
Loyalists : Forces siding with the Admiral Nagata (The infected one)
Those forces will be either patrolling in New Tokyo or waiting near Hiroshima jump-hole in New Tokyo system.
Their goal is to destroy the rebel forces. If rebels do retreat, they are allowed to chase them until they reach the heavy unit supposed to pick them up in Shikoku system.

Rebels : Forces siding with the Admiral Sakamoto (Strike force whose mission is to assassinate Nagata)
The members of this strike force will be launching from Kyushu system, reach Hokkaido and then head to Hiroshima jump-hole in New Tokyo.
Their goal is to deal as much damage as they can to Nagata's escort. Therefore, their priority should be KNF and KPT vessels.
If retreat is necessary, they will have to reach the heavy unit sent in Shikoku to pick them up.

Others : Glad to fight both sides
Granted some people wish to participate to the event using those ids, this side will be waiting in Hokkaido system and attempt to damage the rebel strike force, believing they are about to strike Blood Dragons or GC assets. Attention : The rebel strike force main objective will be to reach New Tokyo. Therefore, do not expect honourable duels or fair fights. It is much likely the rebel strike force will be using all means to draw away criminals.
Lastly, GC/BD can follow the strike force to New Tokyo and engage any side, at their discretion.
