To everyone who's complaining about "losing xxx hours/losing xxx credits":
You haven't lost time. You have been playing a game in those hours. If you weren't enjoying yourself at the time, then what you're doing isn't playing the game simply to enjoy it. Nothing is permanently gone. Any money you made over the past week, you can make again in the coming week.
A rollback was the least bad option. "Some" people had been taking a very unfair advantage of the playerbase-only rollbacks in withdrawing the base banks and then waiting for the restore to magically make money and items reappear. I hope the folks shouting loudly here weren't getting their credits that way, but regardless, that kind of behaviour and the fact that the DDOSsing prevented base maintenance, forced a full rollback.
It's a free game guys, enjoy it as it is.
