The head of the board of Kirshiro looked up when Dab and his guards entered. "I suppose your here because of the Jinsei-Akki. Unfortunetly, you've made two mistakes coming here, 'Lord Captain' Dab.
Number 1, you have come into our personal base. This is a problem in and of itself, but i'm prepared to ignore it for now.
Number 2, you have tried to deal with the Jinsei-Akki yourselfs. This is perhaps your greatest mistake as of yet. You should have waited for Kirshiro to take care of it, but now this whole mess has blow up like a supernova mine!
You probobly don't know the whole story, so let me tell you what we were doing on the Jinsei-Akki. It's purpose was two-fold; To stress-test the first AI and finish a secret weapons project. From the reports before the EMP knocked out communications, the AI has gone Rampent. Or, to put in terms you would understand, insane. As for the project..."
He shrugged. "It would appear a containment breach set loose a rather nasty batch of special nano bots. Specificly, the ones we were testing on the Jinsei-Akki was called 'Toorima' or Phantom Killer. The nano bot is designed to take either two paths, chosen at random; to either liquify human organs, or to take executive control of the nervious system and replicate. To replicated, it took the building blocks from the stomach of the host, digested, and built more of itself. Basicly, they made zombies. The second one still had bugs, and thus went into what was an isolated environment for further tests and modifications."
He gave an ironic smile, seeing the horrified faces of Dab and his body guards. "Oh, we didn't make this ourselfs... It was a commission from the Liberty Government. It never ceases to amaze me how good we humans can get at killing ourselfs."

The Phantom marine team abord the ship was having problems of its own. A few unarmed scientists were all they found so far. But the automated defences were another matter.
"Virus, this is sargent Hicks... One of ours just got torn to peices by a gattling gun. The thing was loaded with AP rounds, and it tore through our armor like tissue paper. Rick has about 50 holes the size of my fist in 'em! We got it, but if the whole ship has auto-turrets like that, i'm not sure what we can do. And whatever these guys were doing was bad. Real bad. I swear, not 2 minuts ago we tagged a god d*mn zombie! The guy was eating another scientist and looked like he got mauled up with a shotgun. Oh, good news is that the Flechette guns work fine." He smiled a grim smile. "Zombie got turned into ground beef."

Silently, a ship had moved in to Tau 31. The Battlestar decloaked a ways from the rest of the fight, keeping it out of range for the other ships. A tight lazer burst transmission went from it to Virus' ship.
"This is DarkStar. Taking the whole ship with us is impossible. We would never get out alive. Find the AI in the bridge and specs for whatever secret projects they had, then bug out. We'll have gotten what we came for then. The Golden Warriors from Crete, and the Slashers from Malta will be there to assist shortly. Oh, and try not to get killed. I would be very upset if you died."

The Jinsei-Akki itself was doing nothing more then sitting there. The signal, "Welcome to Hell," was starting to receed from it, and ships were rebooting their reactors and computers as fast as possible. Holmen was the first to get another update out.

Broadwave Transmission:
Title: MILITARY ASSISTANCE NEEDED
Body: AW, PHANTOM, AND TC PRESENCE INTENSIFYING.
JINSEI-AKKI ARTIFICIAL INTELEGINCE INSANE.
SITUATION OUT OF CONTROL.
NEED MILITARY BACKUP TO CONTAIN.
Attachments: -none-
End Wave:

This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
