I somehow doubt you'll get it running without some serious tweaking, but even that wouldn't guarantee anything. Basically for DirectX games you'll need Cedega (formerly WineX) which transforms DX graphic calls to OpenGL. It's a wrapper, so does have certain impact on performance and does not guarantee stability at all. Some games work, some not. Freelancer heavily relies on DirectX API, not just for graphics but for audio, controls and network as well.

Edit: well, you are out of luck here. It doesn't support Freelancer, zero playability. Blame Microsoft for closed source and tight reliance on DirectX interface.
