Erich Klugmann, ex-academic, VWA Bundschuh Kommandant and highly wanted criminal, hoped in the back of his mind that nobody of consequence would recognize and attempt to collect whatever reward was doubtlessly upon his head. The heat in the past several months had become very tight; in fact, he had fought off an entire squadron of Rheinswehr rookies just to reach Heisenburg.

He cringed as visions of sickly green explosions haunted him, tormented him. Not all of the pilots that had accosted him had survived. It was the kind of regret that could only be sated by copious amounts of alcohol.

Somewhat cautiously entering the Pub, Erich offered a slight, friendly wave to some sympathetic scientific regulars of the station, taking a seat at a table near a window with a commanding view of Planet Steinfurt.

He fidgeted silently in his seat as he waited for a contact that might never come.
