So far as I know, I have no right or reason to be making any decisions about this event. I am only offering opinions. We're running out of time...so Zapp, you just make an executive decision and we will all adhere to it with a positive attitude.
My opinion is that I don't really want to see a 3-way fight, especially not the first time that we do this. First time outings need to be simple and foolproof and virtually guaranteed to be fun for everyone. A 3 way has a lot more potential for problems. I am leery of the possibility of either pirates or police actually or appearing to make a deal with Xeno to team up against the other side. Just random events could end up looking that way, with the losing side flying away with a very bad taste in their mouth about the whole thing.
I am of the opinion that we should keep these fights to pirates vs police/BHG or Xeno vs police/BHG, at least in the beginning. Once we get a feel for things, then 3 way events could be done. As I stated before, it could start out one way, and the winning team could then take on the other group.
These small fighters are really quick and cheap to set up, so there is no reason why someone can't join in with a different faction than their usual one. If unlawfuls are well represented in these, I have an inclination to want to try out a Pirahna myself in the future. In order to even things out, we might even should ALL have a fighter equipped on both sides of the conflict so that if one side is shorthanded, we can easily and quickly even it out.
As to people joining factions just to participate in this, I don't think that is necessary, and I really don't want people joining The Lane Hacker clan just for these fights. The naming conventions that Zapp created are perfect for non-clan players from the community at large to use.
