History:

• Early life: Lucrezia was born to Chiara and Antonio Acerbo, owners of a small cardamine plantation, the pride of the small family. It was decided by her parents that Lucrezia would not go to any school and instead would be taught by private teachers. According to her parents, this would be the best option for their daughter. As a result, the young girl spent nearly her entire time at home and was basically isolated from the society. Not even her parents had enough time to spend sufficient time with her, which was the result of the cardamine plantation, as they had to deal with most business related issues on their own. It was a hard childhood for Lucrezia, but it would surely prepare her properly for her future life.
  
  
  However, an unexpected and shocking event occurred in August 799 and this event would change Lucrezia’s future forever. A small group of slaves, 6 people to be precise, were extremely unhappy with their life on the plantation and searched for a way to show this to the Acerbo family, who were their oppressors after all. In the night of 19 August, they set large parts of the plantation on fire. The flames quickly gained strength and spread throughout the whole area, they also reached the house in which Lucrezia lived together with her family. Lucrezia, 9 years old at that time, woke up after she had heard countless voices from the outside. It did not take long for the girl to notice that it was living hell outside, and that the house had already caught fire.
  
  She immediately left her room and began to search for her parents, even though she knew that it would be better to leave the house before it would collapse as a result from the fire. But she was simply too afraid of losing her parents, the only people in her life who were important for her. It was a shock for her when she reached the hallway that led to her parents’ room, it was covered in flames, which made it impossible for her to reach the room. In that moment, Lucrezia was not even sure if her parents were still alive, but even worse, that feeling sort of paralyzed her and she did not move, even though her life was threatened by the flames, which came closer with every second passed. She only survived that day because she was saved by the housemaid, who dragged her out of the house just few minutes before it collapsed. Lucrezia’s parents did not survive this night, and it also meant the end of Lucrezia’s current life. The life that would now follow, was more hostile and filled with sadness and agony.

• Life after the tragedy: She had lost everything in her life, her existence, and most importantly, her parents. It was decided that her uncle, Cristian Acerbo, would take care of her from now on. He had seen her only once in his life before, and that was shortly after her birth. The reason for this is simple: an argument between him and his brother, Lucrezia’s now deceased father. However, he did not hesitate for a second to accept his niece at his home. All he could do was to give her solace.
  
  
  But this proved itself to be an impossible task. Lucrezia changed a lot. She did not say a single word since that tragic accident, and did not show any emotions either. It seemed like she was a lifeless shell that had no purpose left in this world. It was sort of depressing for Cristian to see his niece like this, but he could somehow understand why Lucrezia behaved that way, but it also gave him hope. He would try everything to make life bearable again for her.
  
  Lucrezia was sent to school for the first time in her life, and it seemed to have a positive effect on her. She smiled from time to time, but still remained mute. It worried her teachers of course, and they suggested Cristian to send Lucrezia to a psychologist. The uncle, however, did not agree with their suggestion, as he believed that it would only make it worse for Lucrezia.
  
  It took nine long years for Lucrezia to finally speak again, and it came as a huge surprise for her uncle, after all, it was the first time for him to hear his niece’s voice. It was a simple “Thank you”, followed by a brief smile. It still happened rarely that she actually said something, but Lucrezia no longer seemed like a lifeless shell.
  
  Two years later, shortly after ther 20th birthday, she decided to leave her home in order to begin her own life. She decided to become a pilot, as she did not want to be bound to Planet Malta. Luckily, her uncle had some friends who had served in the Maltese Navy for a long time, and they agreed to train Lucrezia. However, it was not clear what the reasons for her decision were, and she never answered this question when she was being asked about it.
  
  It was not her goal to protect Malta from its enemies, it more seemed that it was her only wish to destroy other people’s lives. Lucrezia became a formidable fighter pilot, and that in a relatively short time. Once her training was complete, Lucrezia began to hunt targets in the Taus, mainly Malta’s enemies, but sometimes also people that were not hostile but somehow managed to anger her. She turned into a ruthless killer, who never showed mercy to her targets. It did not take long before people paid her to kill, but it seemed that money never played a big role in Lucrezia’s life, it more looked like it was just a little extra, nothing more, nothing less.

• Lucrezia’s life today: After years of flying alone, Lucrezia joined the Contari Lance. Her reasons for doing so, remain unknown, however. She did not change much during these years, she is still sort of mute and only talks when it is absolutely necessary. As a result of that, it is nearly impossible to get her into a proper conversation, and if that succeeds, it is obvious that she does not feel very comofortable about it and immediately tries to escape from it. It is obvious that she is still suffering from the tragic events of her past, but these events are a well-guarded secret, and hardly anybody besides her uncle and Lucrezia know about it.
  
  
  She knows everything about her ship, its weaknesses, its strenghts, and uses this knowledge to become a dangerous opponent for everybody who is hostile to Malta. However, it does not look like she is hating anybody. Her enemies are simply the same like her allies, with the exception that Lucrezia will not shoot at the latter.
