Biographies of the Directors

David Starr

David was born on Planet Erie, son of Lucas Starr, a zoner trader and pilot, and Samantha Starr, libertonian resident of Erie. After decades of flying all around Sirius, his father decided to settle on Erie and marry Samantha, which he had known on the docks, as her father owned one of the storage areas. David lived in Erie until his early 20's, when the Nomad War began. Zoner traders were being harassed by libertonian authorities, so he decided to take his father Dromedary freighter and follow his steps as a trader in the omegas and omicrons. His parents lived on Erie 14 more years, until they died in a shuttle accident.

Coming back to his home planet for his parents funeral, he decided to settle again on Erie. Soon he got a job as a civilian flight instructor for the LSF. He passed over the techniques he had learned over the years about avoiding and fighting pirates and nomads.

Soon he married an Erie woman, Eve. After a couple of years on the LSF he decided to open his own civilian flight school, with his wife helping on the administration. The offices of the Starr Civil Flight School were located on Bethlehem Station.

The School business was doing well, but his marriage was not. After 3 years together, David and Eve divorced. It was when Starr decided to take his dad freighter out of the storage hangar, give it a retrofit, and start trading again in the Borderworlds.

After about one year of independent trading around the omegas and omicrons, David started to get very fond of the planet Gran Canaria. Knowing OSI by reputation and also for a couple encounters with their transports, and knowing that they are always hiring new people, he then decided to apply for Escort Pilot role, as his small freighter was not suited for the heavy loads OSI transported around.

After a couple of months on the Security wing, he earned enough money to buy his own Whale heavy transport, also entering to the Transport Division.

After two years on the company, his dedication to OSI and his effort to help Voncloud to maintain OSI Security division up and running, he was invited by the then Acting CEO to be part of the company council as an Advisor to the Board of Directors. In the advisor role, he had the opportunity to show his skills at negotiation and diplomacy a few times, what granted him, later, the promotion to Director of Public Relations, a challenging job at the outer worlds.

With the retirement of Kelly in early 822 A.S., Starr assumed the position of CEO of Omicron Supply Industries.

Jerard Voncloud

Jerard Voncloud, is an Anthropomorphic Fox-like humanoid from an entirely different system, that once was connected by a single jump hole to Sirius and collapsed shortly after his arrival. As he was not human, Voncloud was very quickly shunned and even feared by the major houses, some even going so far as to hunt him. Eventually he managed to reach the edge worlds, where he found a people who accepted him for what he was: the Zoners. With their help he soon had a new combat ship, and he assumed the role he once had in his own galaxy. Voncloud is a Mercenary by nature, a combat pilot, and one who joined the ranks of the Mandalorian Mercenaries. Over time, despite being a 'walking and talking fox', Voncloud was accepted by Bretonia part and partial for his service to the crown whilst working with the Mandalorians.

As time went on, and Voncloud aged, he soon found that his skills started to become old fashioned in comparison to the new pilots. Eventually, he decided to retire. Using the funds gained from successful contracts, he invested in a Border Worlds Transport and began to trade in the only area of space he ever considered home, the Omicrons. After a few years of trading, Jerard realised it was becoming a lot harder to remain a freelance trader, what with the refreshed threat of the nomads, and pirates, his losses began to outweigh his gains. Needing a break, he and his small trade crew went to Gran Canaria, a place Voncloud had become rather fond of, reminding him of his lost home. Whilst drinking in a bar, he overheard a conversation between pillots about the company Omicron Supply Industries, and without any real choice nor hesitation, Voncloud inquired about the company and how he could apply his ship.

Much to his surprise there wasn't much demanded from him to fly under the OSI wings. During his time he quickly became an asset to one of the directors, Robert Paulson, who promoted him to be an Advisor to the Board, to offer his experience and contacts as an ex-mercenary. At one stage, the Directors stood down leaving Palson and Voncloud only in the board. Paulson eventually leaved himself, and with no obvious successor named the role of CEO fell to Voncloud. Despite his stubbornness, sense of honour and in some cases, short temper, Voncloud took on the role of CEO in his stride and with his own board of hand picked directors, hoped to return OSI to its former glory.

Since then, however, Voncloud has stepped down from the CEO position, allegedly due to health issues, returning after a few months, and presently occupies the chair of Director of Security.
