My budget gaming stuff is 5 years old and work flawlessly:
OCZ Elixir KB and OCZ Equalizer mouse- it is re-branded cheap chinese stuff but it does its job. The mouse is G400 from the same chinese retailer but in your case Logitech branded.
MS KB does not have long operational life- it would be totalled in less then 2 years time.
I guess that even a bit more expensive the Razer stuff is the better stuff and if you want to safe money in Germany Roccat are cheap and good. I got friends with 6-10 years Razer stuff that just work perfectly- so when something dies from my stuff I am going for Razer for good.
