Joe: "Is morning? (short pause) Oh, no... is evening!"
He wasn't sure whether these thoughts were spoken aloud or not. Joe looked confused around him and saw several empty bottles scattered on the floor. He tried to remember what happened...
Suddenly he heard a familiar voice: "- Good evening, Joe!".
Joe (a little unsure): "- Sidon !?"
Sidon: "Affirmative. It seems your alcoholemy is still too high and your senses are a little numb. But you'll be fine.".
Then he realized it wasn't a dream. And Sidon... was there, as always. Sidon was purchased by Joe 6 years ago. That HQPR, one of the earliest commercial models of the personal robots created by Siddhartha Personal Robotics Lab, was the only true friend he had in all these years.
Joe: "I'm thirsty! I need some wine..."
Sidon: "Negative. I received instructions to stop serving you alcohol."
Joe (magged): "Yeah!? And who gave you these instructions?"
Sidon: "These instructions have been received from Mr. Rick Tenda."
Joe (furious): "I hope he will die in hell with his instructions!"
With a visible effort, Joe tried to hide his anger.
Joe (formal): "All right! Then I will drink water."
Sidon: "Mr. Rick Tenda has stored a new message for you. Do you want to see it?"
Joe (with a long sigh): "Yeap."
Sidon: "Play message from Mr. Rick Tenda to Mr. Joe Leroy:
~ Hy, buddy! I hope you're okay. Do you remember how many bottles of wine you been drinking today? Well... (pause) you screwed up again. Mark is very mad, you know!? I'm just curious... you at least have any idea what you did today? (another pause) I think this time he will not forgive you, buddy. I'm really sorry, but... (low-voiced) what was in your mind when you sent that request and gave access to that girl with red hair? (long pause) Anyway... you are called tomorrow at 11:00 UST (Universal Sirius Time) for an emergency meeting. So... I think it would be better to already looking for an excuse. Joe (determined): "Sidon, please... I want to be alone."
Sidon left the room in silence.
Joe (after a few moments, whispering): "Gosh! Tell me that's not true... was like a dream. I remember..."
Joe (meditative) "Nevaeh! Yeap. That was her name."
