Your shipname was VR-Blain.Spike, Switchback. Now in the order, what happened was:
1. California system, near New York jumpgate, you went outta the gate and took the line, while i was several k to ther side of it.
2. I have seen you on my scanner, and decided to go further to the side just in case until your ship disappear.
3. You broke from the line and started to chase me.
4. I set course away from you, knowing i can maintain 5k+ distance - but at that point unable to turn my Stork to anything within California system.
5. You asked me to stop, inRP. Following talk was all in blue chat inRP.
6. I refused, explaining that i cannot see your ship's ID, and that if i get close enough to see it, i might well find your guns firing at me.
7. You offered 1 million for me to stop and when i see you mean no harm, then i could return the money to you.
8. I refused, saying i am not willing to risk my ship for that sum - and that 1 billion would though do.
9. You tried several other ideas to convince me to stop, neither worked. I explained that i am not willing to take the risk of getting close to you.
10. I expressed firmly that i will keep runnig away, and declared the exchange over. Distance between us remained about 5.8k during all the talks.
11. You said you have time, and said you are engaging "autofollow.exe" program.
Now this was inRP part. What's wrong with it? Trader is running away from a ship which looks like a pirate, behaves like a pirate (chasing, asking me to stop, trying various tricks to make me stop), and is not bearing any official tag?
Furthermore, you expressed your inRP consent to continue the chase, at this point.
After some 30+ minutes, we then had OOC talk in private. You said i avoid RP. Not true. You repeat it in forum. Not true just the same. If for you RP means - quote - "I was only going to ask if his job was smelly or not" - then i must disagree. I did RP, and as it turned out, i did it right:
And given the fact that you were not gaining on me - quite the opposite, i was very slowly getting away with very slow fine turns - it was only your own wish and desire which kept you chasing; i didn't give you any sign it makes sense to continue the chase. By the time you decided to break off, distance between us grew to 10k.
P.S. I don't like to post any screens with OOC personal talk, but in this case, exception is required. When i asked you to meet me in-game afterwards, you said to me you're done dealing with me or any ALG for that matter, and you're done wasting your time:
And yet, now i see you complaining about lack of RP on my part, - which is false accusation to say the least, - in forums. Is it SO much insulting i actually managed to get away? Maaaan... I must admit, there is one thing to how i did it, - a thing which not so many people know, though it's completely legit and proper way to get away from a cruise chase - when ships are same speed. You doubt me on that, have an admin to question how i did it - admin, because i want my know-how to remain my know-how, and not your know-how; i am completely sure they will then confirm to you that it was completely about piloting skill, and some know-how, and nothing else. Reason why i do not want to explain it in public - or even privately to you, - is possibility that we'll need to try the chase once again in the future. It's not often i find myself in a situation to practice it - last time was ~3 years ago, in 4.85.
Cheers!
Do you see the groundhog there? No? Me neither. But, it's there nonetheless.
