Mayday in Tau-31

The commando snarled. "You fools. You think I will tell you anything? Fools! ALL OF YOU!" A nasty smile split his features. "But your still welcome to join me in death..."
A small chime sounded from the commando's HUD. "Fusion pack self-destruct override. Meltdown in 15 seconds. 14... 13..." He gripped the two marines closest to him with gauntleted fists, locking the power gloves so they could not escape.
"Oohhhhh, death! Death is all that awaits, thee..." He began to sing as the timer counted down. It would be impossible to remove the entire powered suit from him before it went off, much less find out how to disable the thing.
"10... 9... 8..."
"Come with me, into, the great, Beyooooond!"
*Fwhump!* The fusion pack went up in flames, consuming the Phantom commando, the room, and two of the AW's marines. Obviously, the others had noticed, for as soon as the pack went off, from a close-by corridor a hail of energy and razor shards screamed down it towards what was left of the AW marines.

Hicks was making his way back to the bridge. Now and then, a zombie would test his systems' tolerence for adrenelin, and he would turn the thing into paste. Some of the lighting had failed, so he used a flashlight in addition to his SMG side-arm. He only had a respirator over his mouth and nose, actually built into his skin. He never had a helm. He rather liked his field of view as it was, thank you very much.
It was a long treck, and nothing really interesting happened, untill he found a lap-top. There was a file open on it, a report some scientist was making. He grabbed the thing and hid in an alcove. Then he began to read.
-*-Dr.Mako of the Kirshiro Research Ship 'Jinsei-Akki.' We've managed a sucessful examination of the alien ruins in Newcastle. The SF didn't notice us, and we managed to get by the Grimsby with falsified access codes. The scientists at Sunderland were quite welcoming, and even lent us a few samples. We wrangled permission to get into one of the surrounding satalites of the ruins. What we found was amazing. Bones, artifacts, texts... Everything we could have hoped for and more! We wern't allowed to take any physical things, so we took pictures and scans and loaded them up into Crystal Oni. We'll be examining them on the way back, or at least start to. Crystal Oni was very happy, to say the least. He said that it was all very exciting. -*-
So, it was even more important for them to get Crystal Oni. Oh yes, the Phantoms were going to be very happy with this! He hurried on, very close to the bridge now. He was careful to turn on his Term-Optics. If he was stealthy, nobody would see a thing. Even thermal immaging wouldn't pick him up.

Soon the Kirshiro and AW ships were in Tau 31. Captian Gunagku opened a system wide transmission. "All ships! This situation is now under the command of Kirshiro Technologies! Stand down and retreat at once, or you will be destroyed!"
It was Captian Kougi who first noticed the comm dead zone. "Lord Captain Dab, there's a field around the Jinsei-Akki. It looks like whoever made it had to sacrifice the Jinsei-Akki's engenering section to make it, but that field is preventing all communications from getting anywhere. Our's can't get in, their's can't get out, and nothing is going in-between. No radio, no lazer bursts, nothing."
