Greetings, I am Alexander Tenren, CEO of Ageiras Lane Security. This is our first official broadcast. I will be covering our goals & objectives, Position Structure, and our current employee listing. Further, any and all lawful citizens who wish to ask questions or apply can access this info stream.
The first order of business will be to cover Lane Securitys goals and objectives.
Objective 1 - Protect the Free Trade
This means Lane Security will patrol as much of the trade lanes as possible to insure lane stability. We cant very well have traders losing faith in our trade lanes. Simply put, its bad for business overall.
Sub Objective 1A
In addition to patrols, Ageira wishes to counter much of the current piracy that takes place. If you use a trade lane when we are around and there is trouble, send out a comm. We will also be providing escort through extremely hostile systems that utilize trade lanes (ie Sigma 13).
Objective 2 - Disrupt pirate activity in the Sirius system
In order to effectively defend our trade lanes, Ageira as a whole has authorized an offensive plan. Seeing that many pirates attack our trade lanes that originate from outside civilized space (ie Corsairs, Outcasts), so too must we learn to strike beyond our trade lanes. This however does not mean you will find us too far from trade lanes, a system or two, and only to keep us from being entirely defensive in our future situations.
Sub Objective 2A
Further, in order to maintain good relations overall, Lane Security will adhere to each houses local laws, such as the nomad ban in liberty. We are not under the command of any military. However, it is encouraged that Lane Security members assist local law enforcement to counter pirate activity. If local police fail, traders and others who use trade lanes would be at risk.
Objective 3 Our Catch 22
So how much would these services cost the average trader or the lone police officer?
NOTHING. Thats right, our services are 100% FREE, no strings attached! We ask not for credits, equipment or future favors, just your thanks! Donations are also welcomed!
Why would we do this?
Simple, Ageira built the trade lanes, which leaves the responsibility of maintenance to us. And as always, Ageira goes above and beyond expectations by escorting traders through hostile space, fending off possible pirate incursions against our lanes, and by assisting local law enforcement.
Objective 4 To recruit new operatives and refine our current ones
Ageira welcomes any and all who would uphold our standards of excellence. No previous combat experience is required. Lane Security will provide combat training for fighters and/or bombers to increase our effectiveness against pirates.
Sub Objective 4A
Lane Security will provide a fighter or bomber, starting equipment, and a sign on bonus depending on the position applied for (See Position Structure). Sign on bonus will be negotiated at time of hire. The choice of fighter or bomber may be up to the applicant and may also be subject to current needs of Lane Security overall. The application process is simple. One must state which position(s) they would feel best suited, a reason why you wish to become Lane Security and if applicable, the name of the Lane Security employee who recommended you to apply.
All applications are reviewed thoroughly and by the board of directors and myself. We will do our up most to give swift responses and logical reasons for whatever decision we may come to.
Objective 5 To push technology to the next level
In order to keep our trade lanes safe Ageira operatives may be seen piloting experimental ships or using possible alien weapons, thrusters, shields, etc. After the nomad wars the Sirius system as a whole should be well equipped to handle ANY and ALL outside threats.
Now that I have explained our goals and objectives (which are always subject to improvement) I will next list our current operatives and explain our Positions structure.
Positions
CEO The highest any Ageira member can go. This person coordinates the efforts and direction of Lane Security overall.
Executive Belonging to Ageiras board of directors, they decide internal policy. In addition an Executive can recruit, terminate or place members on suspension.
Manager The Manager handles the day-to-day activity of Operatives, forming fighter and bomber wings, or creating squadrons. They have the power to place operatives on suspension and termination pending an investigation.
Operative The standard rank of an Ageira employee. Their responsibility is to uphold and enforce the goals and objectives of Lane Security on a basic level.
Outside Contractor Positions
These positions are still to subject to our standard of excellence.
Auditor In order to continue providing excellent service Ageira monitors their employees and the actions they take. The Auditor gathers information (screenshots) that will assist in investigations regarding employees. These personnel will not be noticeable as discretion is key.
Pathfinder These individuals map out the Sirius sector, checking for new systems, jump hole coordinates, asteroid fields, etc. This particular position is strictly noncombat.
Associate Associates are independent, military personnel, bounty hunters, or mercenaries that work closely with Lane Security to enforce lane stability but do not wish to become full operatives.
