You are correct to some extent. I personally see the Blood Dragons closer to this then Bundshuh since the former were the government thrown into exile while the Bundshuh are more of a rebellious group of Rheinland. (I'll come back to this one since you mention this again later in the post).

Actually that isn't really the case. The Blood Dragons were only the personal guard of the Emperor that was deposed in favour of Samura's one. You could support their cause to return the old ruler, but a "first come first served" strategy doesn't seem all that great. Otherwise you'd want to support someone trying to bring back the tyrannical monarchy of early Bretonia that forced families to have many children to increase the working population, which was only removed by a populist civil war?

That also brings me onto the next point, of the legitimately replaced Rheinland Empire by none other than the legal political party, the Bundschuh. I think that lasted twenty years before the corps conspired to regain control of the government and nothing changed other than the name. So it depends on how you view that, whether you would support them or not.
