People are not going ballistic to loose all cargo while being killed. Even more, they are happy for some reason. The only reason in that situation is that Pirate got nothing too.
Perhaps it happens because people are not fine with spliting their profits 1:1 with random guy they just met who typed 8 letters, while its far from guranteed they will profit themselves. Asking for 1/2 profit means you just earned no less than what guy worked 30mins for. If people payed even regular 2mils, pirate profit will be far bigger than traders.(granted, you can track people with chat list) 1/2 is quite greedy.
Also, im all against piracy being considered income on-par with trading. Trading SHOULD be more profitable cause its boring.

I viewed problem from psychological POV. What I meant is people have certain ...mindset... that results in "half profit" demands being totaly unaceptable.
