25-05 Report
Ladies, Gentlemen,
today, it's up to me to hand in a report about the latest incident in Tau 37. I cannot really tell where the people who can't reproduce that well take all the pilots from, but while covering the backs of some IMG security pilots, we encountered damn load of Outcasts! I just couldn't help but have the feeling they found out how to clone themselves now.
Well, whatever, the identification protocols showed the Outcast ships belonged to the Contari Lance family thing, and they're known to be everything but easy kills. And probably that's why our combined strikeforce had such a tough fight with them. I swear, in that bunch of fighters, there were so many vessels that one easily could loose orientation. And while the fighting area drifted towards Freeport 10, it looked like we disturbed a little „party“ of these „Commonwealth“ Zoner folks living up there. I'll be totally honest: With their annoying chatter they made it even more hard to concentrate on our sniffer targets. However, it sounded like they had quite some fun recording all that. I'm not sure, but maybe someone in the administration should check out the Neuralnet and delete this kind of „entertainment“ material. Otherwise, I have to talk to them when I meet these guys the next time.
But even if it was difficult to aim at the right targets in that bunch of ships, I can confirm that the IMG and our guys got quite some kills to write on their boards! Sadly enough, I was shot down in the middle of the battle. I really have to say: Those escape pods are damn hard to shoot down! 'Cause I'm sure these 'Casts tried it more than three times until somebody picked me up.
However, guncam proof of several ships being shot down are attached to this file, in case anybody is requesting proof for any kill claimed this day.
seems like there's always something going on around the Republic. Mostly it's trouble, I guess, though. Long story short, while checking the systems of my Pytho together with Weapons Officer Davids, I received a message from Warrant Officer Stewart over the emergency frequencies. Couldn't believe it in the beginning, but he was talking something about a lightly armoured Outcast „Storta“ destroyer flying through Coronado. I guess something smells fishy with this one, as even the 'casts do not send out nearly unarmoured vessels usually. Maybe the „Sania1“ tagged destroyer had some kind of special equipment or something like that on board.
But however, I checked out the situation, and as soon as Davids and me arrived in Scanner range of Stewart I noticed that we had help from a 15th pilot, callsign „Moonbeam“. It did not take long for our bombers' weapon systems to charge, and thus quickly a fight started.
I blame a malfunction of his ship for this, but Warrant Officer Stewart's vessel has been disabled directly after the conflict began. No matter if it was a malfunction or not, I was that kind and picked his pod up quickly.
Even though we lost one vessel during the fight, I personally can confirm the complete destruction of the destroyer class capital ship. Through one of my SNAC projectiles. Looks like I can mark the first kill on my Pytho today!
However, guncam proof of „Sania1“'s destruction is attached to this file.
