the vanilla line of civilian craft only for my Xenos, including mk2 upgrades.

It comes down to a personal choice. I think the more different types of ships a faction uses, the less like a faction it looks. The small group of Xenos I fly with will have only one unique pilot while the rest of us look the same. That way the unique one is really unique.
