So a stop at a Boa Vista pub had me talking with a friendly Zoner from Gran Canaria who enthusiatically told me to go and have a look at Planet Fuerteventura in galactic south south west Omega 49. So since I realised I didn't go that way on my last patrol I followed the notes he quickly scribbled down for me and I approached the planet. What drew him to this ice box I don't know but I can confirm there is a base in orbit of Fuerteventura but docking control was decidedly quiet despite the non-hostile nature of the defence platforms.
From the planet I swung further east before heading north where I came upon a previously unknown jumphole.
Scans showed the hole was stable so I jumped through to an interesting sight.
Imediately the scanners went spastic as they couldn't receive any data from beyond a couple hundred metres. Plus the colouration was amazing, the bright vivid oranges reminded me of some of the lakes from home. Through the murk I could decifer the higher glow of a sun so I headed towards it. Breaking through the cloud I emerged unto a clearing of briliant reds. Ahead was the sun but there was a planet to my right so I headed that way. It was also at this point the scanners detected galactic north and the maps organised themselves to show they believed I entered the system in it's west.
Approaching the planet scans reveiled it had a nice ring system as well as large amount of oceans. Beyond the planet there was a base holding close to the rings.
This base which was broadcasting a name of 'Safe Haven' also confirmed the name of the planet to Planet Brailia.
Heading further east from Safe Haven I found another nebula which was bright orange just like the other. Partway into the nebula I turned galactic north and after a number of clicks I stumbled upon a jumphole which I found jumped to Omega 47. Floating just off from the jumphole a large shiplike shape could be seen although I didn't head closer. Carrying on north I came across another planet and this one was huge. Around the planet is a station can Manatum Repair Station. Like with the other planet I found from the base that this was called Planet Fuere.
Leaving these two I headed back west for the jumphole I can in and on this part I swung passed a large shipyard broadcasting the name "Antikythera Shipyard" whom I kept my distance from. Reaching the jumphole I returned to Omega 49 and the back home here to Omega 50."
