Personsally bases should be easier to kill and easier to maintain - is it really worth the struggle just for some "RP" ?

Point is Bases are bad full stop, whatever they are used for they are bad, Why: ?

Well they take up considerable amount of player time therefore they are ANTI to what discovery is all about!

Tell you what here is a question to the Devs: Aeternus, Aerelm etc

Do you intend to make bases more easier to build / manage so that maintenance of them is not time consuming thus anti to Discovery as the current system is?
Or isit the intention that bases will continue as they are?

The answers to these questions will determine the future of Discovery....
