@Agmen: I'll have rental car. Not sure if I will go to Lawton or not but I don't plan to sit board over my weekends too nor will I run in Texas heat. I'm hearing something about "The Stockyards" of Ft. Worth.

The Stockyards are great if you enjoy a Western atmosphere. Rodeos, and the like. Its a nice place to visit, but since you'll be here during our Extreme Hot season(we have no other seasons, its either mildly warm or blazing hot) your best bet is to go after 6 pm to avoid the real heat. Also....keep the Yankee thing to yourself, we don't take too kindly to your kind 'round here. Fake a Southern accent if you have to.

Since you mentioned water parks, I'll just throw this out there, Hurricane Harbor in Arlington, TX (My town and right between Dallas/Ft. Worth, best bet is to take I-30 into Arlington. If you find roller coasters, you're in the general area) is a good "thrill" park if you want to be in water all day. Its a bit pricey however, as its over toward the "Upscale" part of town. NR-H20 is a more economical water park, more pools than slides. The downside is a lot more kids, so be prepared for that. Schlitter Baun is the considered one of the best in Texas, but be prepared for a drive and with the title of the best comes a hefty entrance fee.

If you're staying in Dallas, I'd suggest staying around their Downtown area if you decide to see the city. A lot of great food joints and entertainment in that area, but most importantly, stay in that area at night. If anyone you are with mentions anything about a Stop Six, stay far away from it. I'm not even playing on this one, this information could save lives. It is as Ghetto as you can get in Texas, and cops do not patrol that area regularly.

With all that said, though we've never met in-game or even talked on the forums, I hope you have a wonderful trip down to our Lone Star State.
