Meh Caps need buff especially vs snubs, especially battleships.
Then just add small dead penalties and fuel usage and increase repair costs x5.
People are lolwuts because they have too much freedoms to lolwut around, if they need to consider their fuel usage and consider that they are not immortal they would act otherwise.
One play in the way that the current server/balance/rules allow him, if none stops him to field 3 battleships then good for him and his group if he can do so, at the same logic none stops you to field 4 dual nova heavy bombers and kill them all, why the hate?
The game is too caring and nothing happens when you die, nothing happens when you get damaged..
Cannon proposed the fuel usage about 2-3 years ago and the same community went against him so he dropped the idea.
So the same people that does not like battleships wont like to pay for fuel on their snubs or to rebuy their codes when they die as well.
Simple and logical balance restrictions can fix all the problems. All players should have fun, no matter in what kind of ship. Caps ships were always joke at this server, especially the 4.86 ones are so tragic joke with mega nerfed guns and working novas, people that are complaining about it are also fun. I cannot even remember last time when capship killed me, it is at least 6-7 months time, while in 4.85 I as cap nub managed to kill 3-5 snubs in Osiris each time when I logged in Gamma and die at the same rate in snub, 4.85 BS missiles combined with 4.85 BS razors and Solaris were really effective anti-snub guns, not the current nerfed water pistols. 4,85 BS missiles were so fun that 2 battleships with 2 missiles each targeting different parts of the ally attacked by bombers battleship managed to kill once 5 bombers with 4 missiles at one volley because the missiles ignited each other creating really huge explosion zone if fired right.
