So you really expect a well respected member of the Corsair community, an Elder to try to reason with them? That he is an Elder speaks for itself, he sure didn't got the title for nothing. It is a privilege very few can get and that means that very few have to work for it. And that he got this title means he have achieved it, proven himself worthy enough to be one of the leaders of the Empire. And you expect an Elder to explain his reasons to some random corsair just because he disagrees? You expect them to act inferior not to get shot down? An Elder? To act inferior to some random corsair? Because as been said, Corsairs got a "macho" culture, and that would practically mean that, and such Elder would quickly lose respect. And you expect him to do so? Joke of the century.
