Mine wasn't particularly, luckily. If I had to define it, the word I'd pick is "mainstream", due to my lack of trauma. Until I finally reached eighteen, I didn't really awake and got to understand how stuff works, which is pretty much shame on me, because at that point I finally became independant. I grew up on a house with morals, sense of duty and loyalty towards our current government, being it something usual in Los Angeles, my home planet.
As stupid as I was, a handful of thugs kidded me: I lost every bit of cash I had and what I also didn't have, which means I fell into a heavy debt, and all because I was cheated.
So far, so good, nothing unusal, the typical idiot beginning to understand that life ain't a bed of roses. Moreover, I was smart enough to demand said criminals, hoping for police's aid in the matter.
Know what? They were biased, bribed by the same thieves I suffered from. That was deadline.
By now, four years have passed, and said time frame isn't really interesting, I believe.
Just recently I heard from your organization and decided to give it a shoot, because why not. I undocked succesfully from Erie with a wrecked starflier whose owner wasn't paying attention to. Before this point, I had never flown a ship myself, nevertheless I wasn't stupid enough not to inform myself 'bout the "how to". Barely, I reached New York, the Badlands, where I purchased commodities thanks to the numerous wrecks among the cloud. Taking some damage from the rocks, I made it to Rochester, being chased by a LPI agent who I couldn't bribe as my previous antagonists did. However, I lost him before docking and selling the goods.
From that point I mechanically shot down the DSE depots at Bush, whose loot came in handy. Once I got my pockets filled up and the cops real mad, I headed to the especified base in Ontario where I could, indeed, buy a dagger. Then, Mactan was paid a visit. Because of my lack of combat experience, I asked for a pilot who apparently belonged to your organization for help in order to get myself some reputation among the "association".
So far, I haven't attempted a piracy act; I'd rather earn some experience in combat before doing so. That's why I keep going on missions given by your board. My income sources have been both looting depots and wrecks, and fulfilling the orders given, adding indeed the trade of the taken pilots.
Before I forget! I succesfully made a handful my prisioners. Despite being mere rookies, I believe you might be interested into them and their knowledge in regard to different matters.
