Well, basically it's all and the same... Still, some people don't play in accordion with their faction... like, some people put their definion of RP above pvp, even though that ID... dunno... have to pvp. I wanna hear from such kind of people as well

No, just simply no. Please correct me, if I'm wrong here, but as far as I know not a single ID says you HAVE TO fight anyone, but regulates who you are allowed to WANT to fight.

Let me give you a logical example by using an unlogical thing such as love:

"Lorena is an Outcast, she never met a Corsair in person before.

On her first flight alone she meets the Corsair Marcus. Marcus is basically in the same situation as Lorena. Young unexperienced and only learned about Outcasts, what other people told him.

They start to spit verbal poison at each other and just before they start to fight each other, suddenly a Naval force appears - a way greater threat for each of them than themselves are to each other. They fight to their best, save each other and barely get away. They start to respect each other.

They meet again and again on occasion and start to feel more for each other. Finally they end up in careing more for each other than for their houses, they leave together and search their luck somewhere else.

The End"

I know it's a bit stereotypical, but that's something what could happen in disco. Now the question is how the people react. And that could depend on the character, how does your rp character think. On the other hand it could depend on the player behind the character, who just wants to blindly obey something he thinks are the rules - for example: "I'm Outcast, I HAVE TO hate the Corsair." And continue trying to kill the Corsair and both get blown up. The character on the other hand might be more realistic and worried about his/her actual survival and would forget the anger for a moment to save her ass (note: that this is just one of many options, the character might also be a total lunatic hardliner who wants to kill corsairs at any costs, even his/her own life).

And that's then how a non-hostile story could develop between two characters belonging to two hostile factions... no matter what the ID or their Houses lore/past history says.

Of course that whole hypothetical scenario has to have people involved who actually care more about developing a story and their characters, than just shooting things, but if you are into those creative things it can be very much rewarding to follow a story you (your created character) is a part of.
