Again... the problem is not Titan's armour or firepower. The problem is it's wings and equipment are attached with blue-tack. You can have all the plating and gun slots you want, but if you can't shoot back you're just a flying dead man.

Coupled with the fact Titan presents the biggest target of all the VHFs (except perhaps Werewolf), and it has a powerful electromagnet which attracts missiles.... another 4k armour or 2 gun slots (which I think is getting silly) will help, but not by much. The extremities need to be strengthened.

They already were strengthened once.... and it's really not that easy to blast them off now...but the wings are a big target yes...

yet it took some 1/2 and 6+ Sabres shooting on Carlos to blast his both wings off.... he also lost 2/3 of nanobots in the process.

Same in the last battle... one Titan lost a wing... after loosing over half bots and taking hits for quite some time.

Also from the side...Titan is quite small target... Avenger/Nepthylys/Guardian is a bigger one. Templar maybe also. And without wings... it's just about impossible to hit the Titan.
