They already were strengthened once.... and it's really not that easy to blast them off now...but the wings are a big target yes...

yet it took some 1/2 and 6+ Sabres shooting on Carlos to blast his both wings off.... he also lost 2/3 of nanobots in the process.

Same in the last battle... one Titan lost a wing... after loosing over half bots and taking hits for quite some time.

Also from the side...Titan is quite small target... Avenger/Nepthylys/Guardian is a bigger one. Templar maybe also. And without wings... it's just about impossible to hit the Titan.

I agree on titans having decent wing strength, even after losing most your bots you can't lose a wing unless that's the goal. Although I don't think the titan is hard to hit at all, I remember in one fight you alone killed 4 titans in about 6 minutes. You could say they were piloted badly, but put the same people in a Blood Dragon, now that is hard to hit.

With the Sabre's speed compared to the Titan's you can attack from any angle you see fit, so even if from the side it was a hard target (Which is where the wings are), it's not like you'd attack in that area anyways.
