Shortly after planetfall, the Planners decided to restore the title of Emperor as the leader of the Kusari government after centuries of figurehead status. Strong and absolute leadership was needed to rebuild their civilization. The political maneuvering was intense. There were two rivals - Masamune Samura and Yosai Hideyoshi. Ultimately, Hideyoshi won. As a compromise, Samura was offered the presidency of the corporation that would rebuild the industrial might of the Kusari people from scratch. He accepted, and Samura Heavy Industries was incorporated, the first of the two great Kusari industrial conglomerates that dominate commerce in the region to this day.

By 100 AS., Samura had constructed the Yamamoto Shipyard and established its reputation as the premier shipbuilder in Kusari. Over the next several centuries, Samura expanded its gas mining operations throughout Kusari space, began regular trading with the other houses, and perfected the construction of polymer hull panels and shielding. Samura's contracts to construct ships for the Kusari Military remain highly lucrative, while its commercial transports almost entirely dominate that sector. Throughout its history, Samura Heavy Industries has exhibited many of the traits of its founder: methodical, implacable, slow to change, quick to anger.

Samura Industries, one of Kusari's 'Keiretsu' Sprawling industries that control whole companies across Kusari.
Shinjuku Station, the Corporate Headquarters for the Sprawling industrial complex known as Samura. The history of Samura is deeply intertwined with the Kusari Shogunate, it's ruling body. Samura holds key contracts for the Construction of Kusari Navy and Terraforming operations in the Tau-Borderworlds, and previously held the exclusive rights for the distribution of valuable resources produced by the Gas Miners Guild (GMG). However, Because the agreement with the GMG has recently expired, Samura faces fierce competition for the GMG's business archrival Kishiro Technologies. Samura is also engaged in a protracted disupute With Synth Foods over the race to feed the evergrowing expanding Kusari population.

Employment/Experience: I spent a brief period as a ship mechanic for Deep Space Engineering on Baltimore Shipyard. I am currently working for Detroit Munitions as a contract freighter, I mainly run small arms and oxygen between Detroit and Harrisburg Station. I see combat very often due to my route running through the Badlands but rarely do I fire on enemy ship due to company protocol on self defense.
Background and Reasoning for applying: I was born on Planent New Tokyo but my famliy moved to Planet New York because of my father getting a job at Deep Space Engineering. I didn't see eye to eye with him on the path that had been laid before me so I quit my job at Deep Space and joined Detroit Munitions however I would like to broaden my horizons and also go back to my roots and be a part of what is happening in Kursai and Samaru seems like the best place to start.
