Work History: Ex-Navy due to disenchantment within the ranks. Decided upon trading/passenger lining. Currently piloting a Pelican Armored Transport.
Biography: Both parents were smugglers, hauling contraband (including weapons) to the Nomad worlds. When Trent was born, they decided to give up the life in search of something more fulfilling, and adopted the guise of simple scrap and oxygen merchants. Trent was in college when they were massacred by Nomad pirates in revenge for halting the supply of illegal weapons.
When Trent found out about his parents sordid past, he vowed to never go down that path. He joined the Navy in an effort to stamp out piracy wherever he saw it. However, he tired of the fighting, no matter how justified, and decided on a more peaceable way of life. Some habits die hard, though - which is why his Pelican transport ship is armed to the teeth.
Why do you want to join USI: Well, flying solo is fun, and all, but sometimes it pays to be part of a loyal, functional group of like-minded people. The money wouldn't hurt, and it would be a great honour to haul goods for such an esteemed company.
