Should there be more unique ships?

Dude, it's not like the Necrosis was going to do anything other than languish as useless chunks of data in the mod files anyway. The thing may as well be put to use by someone, no? Favouritism or not (it's probably not), better to have the ship flying actively around than not, in my book.

The only problem I ever had with unique ships (and shiplines/systems: see RoS) is that there's this disturbing trend of the player or players who get them disappearing off the radar some time after getting them, meaning they're never seen and people wasted time making them. I managed to catch a glimpse of all three of the Necrosis, Tundra and Satsuma, but as far as I know all of those were out of commission before Narcotic SRPed the Necrosis. I'm fairly certain K'Hara are keeping the Tundra from being inactivity wiped (though I don't think anyone is actually flying it) and I guess KNF or Kusari government or something have their hands on the Satsuma (though maybe not since Emperor-san is away drinking tea with the Brets), but if that's the legacy of newly-implemented unique ships then the problem of what to do with the old ones should be addressed first.

Conceited? These were things I did. I'm not peeing in a bucket and huffing the fumes. And I'm certainly not saying it to stick my finger in your eyes.

As to the rest of it, yes it's good to see it out and about, but at the same time no it's not. It was MON'STARR'S ship. He worked long and ahrd to get that thing where it was. And it started out when the Storta was still the Higaaran battlecruiser. Seeing that overwritten and done away with is somewhat troubling for the older members, especially when we had tried to do the same thing. If anything, it should be made an Outcast battlecruiser. That way it would open up a model to the public and still be useful to the mod.

The problem is that they can't delete ships and systems from the game. Doing so would corrupt data files and cause a lot of problems for the devs. THis is why they still have a lot of import ships floating around. They can't be deleted. They can only be moved. Same with systems. When a system undergoes changes, the bases move around. They can't be deleted.

What I'm saying is this:

Who will make these unique ships for us? Who will do the work that coders and developers have told us before that they don't like doing in their stead? Will Jinx run out and make these for us? Tycho? Doom?
