New Hope Recruitment Office, Coronado System

Whether brought along with your nation, through desperation or drawn by a cause, your journey takes you to the Coronado system. The shuttle drops you off at Camp New Hope, only a short distance from the recruitment centre. Coming out of the cold, there is the main desk for the Military offices, and a smaller stall next to a stack of crates with a couple of laid-back guys hanging around beside it.



After walking up to the Military desk, you are given the following form.

Biography:

Born of slave parents in the "great" house of Charles, my mother and father served he and his father faithfully for 35 years until, in a MOX-induced stupor, he had them both executed because my father failed to bring him a proper ceremonial glaive-guisarme for one of his royal state visits to New Tokyo. I was 6 years old at the time, but I remember the moment like it was yesterday. It continues to haunt my dreams...

My life was also in immediate danger, but one of the lower echelon couriers at court that day happened to be a secret spy for The Council, and managed to hide me and slip me away, largely due to His Highness' inability to stay awake after a long bout with Mox sickness. I was brought to Rousillon to grow up among Council warriors and tradesmen who, as you are no doubt aware, spare no love for the King.

After spinning about aimlessly in Sirius as a Freelancer for many years, taking what jobs I could, remaining cautiously neutral to any and all factions I could (I will never remain neutral toward Gallia...) I have decided that I'd like to have a home. I'd like to be somewhere that I can both live a semi-'normal' life AND feel free to act with impunity against any and all Gallic threats. If I ever get the chance, I'd like to personally see to it that King Charles loses his head...literally.

Relevant Experience:

Many many years plying the tradelanes, houses and factions of Sirius both lawfully and quasi-lawfully. This has earned me many contacts, both in and outside of Gallia. I am known to my friends as a man who gets things done, no matter what the cost.

Your reasons for applying to the Military:

Kill the beast! (King Charles) Oh, and wipe out Gallia as a relevant threat to Sirius.

What would become known as the “Colonial Movers” started long ago, in the exodus from Crayter. Today, the Colonial Republic calls upon its oldest and most able handed transport captains, bolstered by ranks of fresh young kids, flying transports until age permits them to join fighting units. This loose fraternity of transport skippers, both young and old, are the new Atlas, balancing the economy of the Colonial Republic on its shoulders. It’s a dangerous galaxy, but like all true Colonials, these old sailors and bright-eyed youths take to the job with the same strength of spirit as their brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters in the military.
