I agree 100% with the GC being a very good example of a proper RP'd and used base, HOWEVER I hate the fact that ever since it got there Dublin pretty much died out. Most Corsairs are just way too lazy to travel +2 systems extra to reach the rich gold grounds and thus avoiding the GC.
Dublin is dead, which is such a shame considering it was one of the best alive and kicking systems in .85.
That aside, the base certainly doesn't lack RP in the way it was operated ever since. Yet I think it's a pity what it has done to Dublin and interactions between Bretonia and Gran Canaria. Dublin still has the potential to be an activity hub. I wonder what would happen to Tau-23 if someone slapped an angry playerbase on one of its jumpholes.

I've noticed this in other factions as well, the supplying takes a lot of effort even from a whole faction, and seems to leave players less time and motivation to do what a faction should actually be doing.
It's part of the reason why I've completely stopped caring about POBs. I welcome this break, and I'm excited to see what the server community can come up with when they're not busy supplying 70 bases every day.

It's the miners that drive both Molly and Corsair activity, not them driving each other.
I agree that miners are responsible for a big part of the system's activity. I haven't mined in a long time because I find shooting rocks very boring. Perhaps it is worth noting that I notice less and less enthusiasm from the BMM members when someone brings up mining in Dublin, because more often than not it seems to lead to them being blown up with little RP, or otherwise frustrating outcomes.
