It all depends, some people like that aspect more. Especially after spending so much time flying around the same systems, in a way, you can only do so much before you've done a bit of everything.
I have no problem with people just silently trading and what not because it all adds to the foundation of this 'universe', whereas, there is always stuff going on in the background you may never be involved with (which gives it a sort of depth, making it feel real), but people are still playing the game and keeping this world alive.
everyone spends their time rping for a while, and some move on to working on POB's to have something to show for the time they put in. It provides a basis for others and newcomers to rp around, even if they arent involved in the bases at all.
I would like to see it easier to build and maintain a base, and maybe easier to destroy. it would probably be better to have a higher rate of built/destroyed bases and have new ones pop up as others are destroyed, rather than have one built that can never be destroyed ever. That way its the rp'ing that determines whether a base hangs around for a while or not.
