After VonCloud had spoken, Kelly stood up and gave each of the three others a stern look. His gaze remained fixed at Holliday.
“Since Direcor VonCloud didn't answer the issue about Food to Crete. I will.” He said in a tone more threathening than anything.
“You're wrong Holliday. We cannot just stop delivering food to Crete. It's too grate of a risk. If OSI would stop delivering food to Crete the population of Crete will not see it as a result of their government’s actions. But turn hostile against OSI itself. There is massive propaganda going on throughout the Corsair Empire, which we” he pointed at both Duncan and VonCloud and then himself “cannot oppose. So direct diplomatic and economic sanctions against the Corsair Empire is like shooting ourself in the foot.”
“Consequently, indirect diplomatic actions are the key. We've been dealing with the Red Hessians and have – until they outsourced their mining business – financed a significant amount of their operational budged.”
“Since the Red Hessians are already at war with the Corsairs, and cannot allow - “Kelly stopped himself mid-sentence. He broke his gaze to Doc Holliday and turned to the CEO
“Nevermind. Duncan, tell the Commies to give the Corsairs Hell within Omicron-49, immediately. With lot of the corsair fleet committed to battle in O-49 the defenses of Gamma will be on a bare minimum.
That is why, we tell both the Outcast and the Hessians that they should stage an all-out attack on Gamma. They won't be able to conquer the planet, but orbital bombardment of Crete and attacks Tripoli Shipyard will force the Corsair fleet to retreat to Gamma and help defending the corsair home-system.”
“We will then blame the Commies – who probably won't mind – telling the Outcast and Hessians about the opportunity to attack gamma. Lastly OSI will loan the Corsair empire money to rebuild their economy and negotiate some new treaties.”
