Now hold on gentlemen. How about an aspect I haven't seen yet posted.
Alright. First. People can argue all day about battleships and who has em and whatnot. But lets look at this from a different perspective.
1. We have the Nephilim. It's a huge beast of burden and the largest in-game, yet people use it solely for combat (cept those who actually RP it properly) while at the same time is supposed to be a rare vessel. Solution: Remove it from the current line and make it SRP only.
2. The Leviathan. While a prototype it is indeed and an ACTUAL battleship, but due to it's status as a prototype it currently resides as possibly the hardest SRP ship to get, resulting in only 2 being on the server. Make sense. No changes needed there.
But now you'll be thinking "But we need battlesheeps for pew and nomnoms and whatnot!"
Soulition: Make a new one for the line.
Let's look at the current capital line for Zoner capitals.
Conference - Light gunship and agile in the right hands.
Corvo - A light cruiser and while supposedly to be a reasearch ship, is one of the top cruisers for TS/TZ players.
Fearless -Another in the Light/Medium cruiser section. No real issues to date so far.
Nephilim - The heaviest (Outside the Marduk respectively) battleship a Sirian can get and one of the most misused.
So we go from light, light, light/medium to Dear God heavy. To me that doesn't add up. Solution?
It's really simple in order to keep both sides happy. Make a new and 'plausible' battleship. A smaller and lighter battleship makes much more sense to have and is much more feasible to have around.
Doing so in the end satify both sides of the current field. Keeping BS tags under zoner ID while at the same time satisfy players who see the Nephilim as misued across the board.
