Proposal: Remove Battleships from the Zoner ID.

Wow - I saw this thread start yesterday but didn't look at it then because I was tired.

Now all I've managed to do is simply skip 8 pages because ... well, honestly, is it really worth reading all that garbage?

Not when we have Saronsen to sum things up for us:

this isn't about the ZA, you ball-scratching neanderthal. It's about Zoners, a group that doesn't have the organization nor the concentrated numbers of people, to be building Battleships at the numbers they do. In fact, they shouldn't really have giant ass battleships at all.

Don't get me wrong - back in the day when I was collecting battleships, I ended up buying one of these monstrosities myself. And in the last ... what, two years, I think ... I've owned this ship, I've been involved in PvP with it ... zero times. I've shot a few NPC's with it, but I'm one of those people who actually RP the damn thing as a mobile freeport.

Pretty obvious, too, since the name of the ship is Freeport.Mobile.Two . I've hauled disaster supplies and other stuff to support Doc and the TAZ with natural disasters, hung around to help during one of the assorted crises in Omega 3, and currently I'm sitting out to provide relief supplies - including additional religious and medical items - at Freeport 11 in Delta.

But that's because I play this game to RP - not strictly for PvP. Not knocking PvP - it IS a valid part of RP. It's just not the ONLY thing out there - which so many people that play this game can't quite seem to grasp between their rapidly decaying brain cells. (Hey, if Saronsen can get snarky - what the heck, I can too. I'm tired from working 60+ hours a week the last month, and no end in sight.)
