@ Roadrunner: The problem isn't hackers. They're a symptom. I've observed the culture change here as it happened. While Disco has never been perfect, I've watched the downward spiral from then to now.

This problem is multi-layered & server cops won't fix it

Self policing trumps server policing & yet self policing is no longer the norm here. The hackers hack because people give them fame & a reason to keep coming back.

There are some very simple techniques to improve this place & while they won't solve every problem this place has, they will help with a turnaround.

I'll be happy to tell y'all what needs to be done, but the Reactionaries need to 1st get over how they see the problem & begin to be willing to get proactive.

What magical simple techniques are you exactly talking about? I can't think of anything short of "Discovery death & rebirth" fixing current comunity. Although, it reminds me of how stupid "don't threaten people with sanctions" rule is.
