Good day,
this is Michal T. Stark, assigned First officer in training, reporting from training cruiser Praclarus Taonas with urgent message.
I was ordered by Captain Khaaros to report in his name, for he is currently trying to cope with our current situation. Quite a messy one, so to speak.
For the past month, we have been undergoing a training mission within Coronado system, the cherry on top of the cake being a one week recon mission to Taus side by side with a few assigned pilots from 49th Strike Squadron, the Firebirds.
What was expected to be a non-action getting-used-to-different-area mission, turned out to be a successful capture mission in the end.
Yesterday, we encountered an Outcast convoy in Tau-23, consisting of two Dromedary transports, two Tridente gunships and several fighters. Cargo scans confirmed a platoon of Outcast pilots being transported in one Dromedary, and a full load of military equipment in the other.
Captain Khaaros ordered an immediate intervention, destroying the equipment filled Dromedary and one gunship in the first weapon salve. While the Firebirds were taking care of the enemy fighters, we stood toe-to-toe with the remaining Tridente. While taking some minor hull damage and one sadly successful destruction of Cerberus turret, we managed to take the gunship down without any delay or losses on crew.
Without any defense left, the last Dromedary, filled with Outcast pilots, was boarded by our assault team and taken over without any problems. We then tried to fetch any equipment we could, loading it in cargo bay one, while the Outcasts held at gunpoint in cargo bay two. We were unable to retrieve any intel from the transport or the wrecks of Outcasts ships destroyed in battle, and so the Captain decided to crash the Dromedary into the sun due to unability to operate the ship to any useful point.
Captain Khaaros then decided to end the Taus mission prematurely, in order to transport the captured to a Colonial facility for a possible interrogation.
We were escorted by Firebirds to the edge of Baffin, from where we carried on our own towards Coronado.
Currently, we are docked at Sabah Shipyard for repairs and replacement of the destroyed Cerberus turret, with the prisoners in lockdown.
The total count of enemy personel captured: 43
I am awaiting orders regarding the follow-up procedures.
