The VCS Silent Man, a Bretonian Liner, enters high orbit of Planet Curacao, where its three VIPs pack their bags and transport them to a freshly-installed docking bay. They board a waiting shuttle, which launches post-haste and descends calmly upon the planet itself.

The shuttle drops out of the planet's low orbit through the docking ring and cuts through the atmosphere, settling on a landing pad on the private island of Elysium Fields. Two men and one women, dressed finely in military-style black dress uniforms with golden tainoi trim and small Octavarium emblems stitched into each shoulder, step out of the shuttle and onto the landing pad, eager to meet the diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Liberty.
