Shield limitations

keep in mind that every ship here including BS can be destroyed by one swift and good equiped fighter with decent pilot...despite how strong shields are...
all cap ship exept maybe gunboats have weps to attack other cap ships. That kind of weps are strong, slow and need a lot of energy.....so cruisers, destroyers and BS are equiped to fight one another...not equiped for fighting against a fighter....and they are slow...very slow....i know it needs a lot of shooting to kill a BS but fighter with some swarmers, shiled busters, nova mines and anh highg speed shooting weps can bring down shileds in rather short time....and few more mines..and the BS is destroyed...

Not true. Ask Korrd. Me and Darkwulf fought his Enterprise RH BS. Its a big target too, easier to hit than a destroyer or cruiser. Me and Dark both died 4 times before we gave up. We never got the shields down. A cap-ship that is decently armed and is handled decently can destroy a fighter or two. Though I still disagree with the statement that Igiss will slightly reduce the cap-ship shield strength again. If anything I think it should be highered just a bit more. Since we started this version I have actually been reluctant to attack anything bigger than a gunboat in a fighter.

BTW Darkwulf had an Eagle with Novas, tizonas, and Wildfires. I had 4 tizonas, 4 codenames, supernova mines, and a nova. None of it got even close to destroying his ship.

yesterday i fought against one talon figter and got destroyed quit easy..i didnt eve bring his shields down....i have bret destroyer...
little later i fought against liberty cruiser with BS shields...we fought about 15 mins with out any damage to one another....cruiser was better equiped than me and still it couldnt harm me....

how can i fought against another desrtoyer or cruiser and even battle ship and come out that fight unharmed...and fighter kills me under 5 mins....

Since I think I know who you were fighting (Had a wraith tag right?) I can comment on this. He is quite a good pilot. Better than me at taking down cap-ships but not as good against fighters. So as I was saying he is good at killing cap-ships and better than almost everyone (if not everyone) here at it with fighters. So I wouldn't use him as a measure of how to easily a fighter can kill a cruiser/destroyer. I have bveen killed in 4 out of 5 fights with a cruiser/destroyer since this new version. And usually I could take them out singlehandedly without losing my shield. I think the strength of cap-ships has seriously been enhanced and is good as it is. But it might be a good idea to increase all the cap-ship shields by 5k-7k for cruisers, 8-10k for BSs, and 3-4k for gunboat shields.
