In order to put what I'm about to say into the proper context, let me start by stating what I consider to be somewhat obvious: I'm a very dark guy by nature.
It works for me & all but there's one major drawback to it...being a lifelong fan of the horror genre ain't what it's cracked up to be.
When you grow up viewing horror as art & idolizing FX people like rockstars, long before you know it, you've seen it all & the entire genre goes stale.
One day you just wake up & realize that 99 times out of a hundred, no matter how hyped up a horror flick is, no matter how many people say, "This movie is the scariest movie EVER!" you know that they simply haven't yet seen enough of the genre to have a true clue of what they're talking about.
Trust me, that kind of epiphany sucks, but every horror fan eventually has it.
Since I've had mine, I find only about one movie every 10 years or so that can even halfway freak me the eff out.
For me personally, WWZ is the horror flick of the decade
