The Shades of Sols goal is more harsh, extremists, like mentioned on the description. Shades of Sol has no interest in restoring the Alliance, like we've talked about it, SoS would've been a 3rd party if it would've been alive back in Sol. So no, this is definitly different, while Shades of Sol tries to do this in the unlawful way, this new faction will be it's lawful one. Also Shades of Sol tries to overthrow the Houses, did I mention anything about overthrowing in here? Shades of Sol are way more agressive, their ways are different. Thanks for the replies! Much appreciated everyone. "The Committee for Allied friendship" sounds not realy like a goal of uniting the Houses, but can be my opinion , but yah the name wouldn't fit us.
The Shades of Sol, as I remember, became a terrorist group because their political party was illegalized. This one...well, it's in the early stages of SoS history, if you know what I mean.
For the name..."Committee of/for <something>" should be awesome. From what I understood, this is a political pressure group, so "Committee" just fits perfectly, imho.

The idea of bringing all of the houses together is kind of different, but totally impractical in theory. Even assuming you did succeed, the mod would suddenly become a lot less interesting because conflict = activity and the basis for roleplay. Having everyone just get along would only make things boring.
The "have them unite against Gallia/Coalition/Squids" sounds nice in theory, but in reality people don't like being vastly outnumbered and everybody also likes to play the good guy, so you'd see almost no players on their side, especially considering the fact that one of them is closed.
I do see what you're getting at and it isn't badly written, but it simply wouldn't work out.
Now, if you tried this on a smaller scale, maybe a group attempting to unify Hispania (something I've wanted to see for a long long time) and did it well, then that might be pretty interesting.
Thread moved to appropriate forum section as well.
If someone will ever unify the Houses, then this surely will not happen within Disco's times. Despite the political pressure by Snake's group, the Houses will not unify not even if you point a gun at their leaders' mouths, thus making the primary objective simply unreachable, reducing everything, as I said, to a sort of brotherhood and political pressure group.
I'll never understand attempts at unifying Hispania, by the way. Outcasts and Corsairs are TOO MUCH divided...starting from physiology...And the differences here aren't black people versus white people, but humans against...semi-humans? subhumans? You got what I mean...
