Bloodfrenzys new ship

Omicron gamma, near the Theta jumphole..

"Hostile ships detected." the monotone drone of a lobotomised tech broke through the quiet bustle on the bridge.

"Idents?" the senior bridge officer asked. "And numbers?"

"One hundred BHG Cruisers and several hundred VHF's. The Corsairs are engaging. They have just lost two Osiris' and four entire VHF patrol wings."

"All weapon stations go active! Targets of opportunity. Fire when ready." the Officer snapped out his orders, knowing that if Bloodfrenzy disagreed he'd say so.

"Five Cruisers and three VHF wings have altered course to engage us. Another six Corsairs VHF wings are approaching from the rear."

"all guns concentrate fire on the leading cruiser, lock all missiles onto the next cruiser." the Officer watched as the Corsair fighters ploughed into the BHG fighters causing utter havoc within their formation.

The nomad energy splashed across the forward sections of the leading cruiser and it began to break up, fire blossomed from the lower rear section after a power conduit overloaded and fed back down to the reactor.

The missiles had streaked past the dying cruiser and slammed into the forward gun mounting. Another pair hit home and then another as the gun tried to fire but it was too late, the gun had been destroyed and the energy that had built up had to be released. The explosion destroyed the bridge and the crippled cruiser continued forward with no-one at the helm.

The last three cruisers had gotten into firing range and unleashed massive salvoes from their forward guns.

One was having trouble staying on course because the Desolators guns had locked onto it and were begining to melt the hull armour away from it's bridge. The missile turrets had locked onto another cruiser and had blasted a hole into it near the middle on the ship.

The corsair fighters had finished with the BHG fighters and started to make strafing runs on the last BHG cruiser.

"New contacts approaching from the rear. Possitively ID'd as four corsair Osiris' with another two VHF wings."

"Open a channel to the corsair fleet." Bloodfrenzy spoke for the first time during the fight.

"Channel open Lord." the officer replied.

"Corsair ships, enter formation with me and we will cleanse this BHG filth from your home system." Bloodfrenzy ordered, he hadn't felt this good for months.

"Very well Desolator, we are entering formation." The corsair commander replied "What tactics are you going to use?"

"All five Battleships will advance towards the cruiser formation at full impulse speed with the fighters behind us." Bloodfrenzy growled "We will launch missile savloes into their fighter screen as we move into range. Once we are in range of the cruisers ignore the fighters. That's when your fighter wings will engage and utterly destroy the remaining BHG fghters."

"As you wish, we are ready to move out Desolator."

"ALL SHIPS ADVANCE!" Bloodfrenzy roared.
