This is a short combat report about yesterday's fighting in Tau 23 Tau 37, in which I was commanding the Colonial Thanatos cruiser class vessel Typheous. The engagement started when IMG came under attack by Wilde forces, but at that time the situation seemed covered and the enemy was routed with the help of the Thanathos cruiser Prometheus.
We confirm the kills of an Isejin Wilde Destroyer of Kusari build and the destruction of two small combat fighters of the enemy by the Prometheus.
The situation changed when Gauls arrived with two Valors and some fighter/bomber cover wings. A Colonial attempt to pin the Valors down failed, as Outcast and Isejin forces attacked the bombers and wiped them out before the Valors could be engaged.
That was the time when I launched on the Typheous to assist the already damaged Prometheus. We found her battling two Valors at close range and relieved her.
Both Valors jumped to Tau 37 because the asteroid fields of T23 favour the agile Thanatos. We gave chase and engaged them again. The Prometheus got surprised by an uncloaking Valor and had to evade, allowing a Valor to Cruise off.
After the engagement, we hurried back to assist the Prometheus that was barely running any more, but their Commander had wrecked the third enemy warship already. The Valor was engaged and destroyed, saving the Prometheus just on time.
We retreated for repairs, when a Colonial 27th wing jumped into Tau 37, hard pressed by Outcast fighters. Having lost an entire wing of fighters and bombers to them, we decided to not let any more go down today and covered them. Two Outcast fighters were downed in the process before the rest decided to retreat towards Freeport 10, likely Alpha.
