Those were my thoughts behind the modular construction Echo.
In regards to the Bretonian influence my initial infocards placed their design at Barrier Gate, however some of the textures Swallow used, to great effect I might add, are clearly from Bretonia so I changed the cards to reflect that.
One idea I had to explain why civilian ships had clear Bretonian origins despite lack of sell points for the Tranquility (X-Shuttle) was the condition of the blueprint sales required all ships to retain the styling so Gallic forces would be uncertain if the ship they are after is Bretonian or not. A false flag if you will, I dropped it from the draft thinking it would be either too specific or simply unnecessary.
I'll rework the Tranquility and remove the mention of weaponary though I must admit I'm not sure how else to explain the ships unusual shape.
