I used to work for Ageira, I was a software developer, my main roll was to write subroutines for the USI system, it's boring me now writing about it.
6 months into my employment, I was asked to work on a secret project, they told me nothing, they asked me to program some software that keeps an object in space cloaked for long periods of time, it controls the fuel intake, sends drone ships out to harvest fuel for it, and self-destructs the second the cloak fails.
I decided to hack the CEOs communication channel to see what I was working on.
My discoveries were shocking, they were working on a new device that disrupts jump holes, making them dangerously unstable, these devices are cloaked and undetectable, ships jumping through the disrupted jump holes could end up anywhere, and even have a small chance of being imploded by the jump holes instability.
These devices are obviously created to decrease the use of jump holes, and increase the use of the gates, making Ageira even richer.
I told a colleague who I trusted about what Ageria were planning to do, a few days later, I was sacked, for good measure they sent some lackeys to destroy all of my computing equipment, everything was erased, all evidence, everything I'd been working on.
I now have no where to turn, my rep is so bad I can't gain employment anywhere, I wish to make the scum bags at Ageria pay for what they have done to me, they are a corrupt monopoly that see nothing wrong with endangering peoples lives to make even more money.
