The BAF high command (which basically consists of Unseelie, Elgato, Monk, and myself - and Blunt up until quite recently) has discussed this before, and we all love the idea in some form. The way I see it, there are a few different options, each with pros and cons.

1. Cease-fire only. BMM would have to leave, of course, because I simply cannot see the Mollies ever tolerating their presence in a Dublin they have any sort of control over. Pros: frees up both of their militaries for dealing with external threats. Cons: still leaves the Mollies as pirates, and Dublin as a part of Bretonia.

2. Protectorate. My vision of it may be slightly different than Elgato's. As with #1, BMM is kicked out. BAF NPC patrols are stepped down both in strength and frequency. BHG patrols are stepped up, I'd imagine, and Corsairs as well. Gaian NPC patrols might start appearing, as the Mollies fully take over BMM mining operations in the area. A new BMM mining facility might appear in the Omegas, as a few rumors have indicated that Bretonia has been eyeing them. (note: some of these things could happen with #1, too) Pros: same as #1, plus some. Also adds significantly to the political/economic dynamics of the region, and gives Gaians cause to be more active. Heck, a new group of Gaians might even be formed from the Mollies that aren't satisfied with the new situation and see the "new Mollies" as traitors to the true cause. Cons: still not full-fledged freedom for Dublin, but then again I think it's probably too big a step to take in one go anyway.

3. Full independence for Dublin. Graves becomes a Molly or IMG base, Essex is removed, BAF patrols drastically stepped down, Corsair patrols correspondingly stepped up. Maybe the 'Sairs get an asteroid base somewhere in Dublin, even. Pros: it's pretty much what the Mollies want. Cons: it's a HUGE step, and might be too much. I think it would be more believable to do at least #2, then #3.
