"He wasn't looking at us, Senorita," he began to explain as they walked, "he was more looking at you. You see, his kind can't return home and their numbers are a percentage few in Sirius. In his eyes, you're a dignitary under close escort by me but he has a roving eye." He then smirked, "and even if he did suspect something, he's bound by his honor to me. I know him well AND their mating rituals, something you would rather not be a part of."

Shasta was busy as usual, trade ships coming and going, staff going about it's business and Popes doing their work. While not as big a trade port as most, Pineal Amulets were a prized commodity. Many nodded and greeted Doc, even stopping him for a quick word but no suspicion was raised. In fact, Doc used the busy atmosphere to escort Jaden to his quarters where he entered a secure door code. Inside, he took a seat on his piano bench as he spread the sheet music before him, putting on his glasses before he started reading it.

"Give me a minute," he said, as he played the first few bars in practice. "OK, I think I've got it." He then started playing. Much to his delight, he heard Jaden start to sing. He smiled quickly at her before returning to the music. It was beautiful and Doc lost himself in the piece, "As The Deer."

She sang happily, her hands clutched together before holding them outward. Gradually, she got "lighter at heart," her face going more straight with her eyes closed. By song's end, Doc could see her eyes getting damp. Sensing something wrong, he stopped and stood up, "Jaden, that was beautiful."
He took concern over her, keeping a tissue in hand if she needed it.
